The world’s most popular audio streaming subscription service is looking for a Infrastructure / Platform Engineer to join the band in a consultant assignment. The client has transformed music listening forever when launched in 2008.

Period: ASAP to 2025-12-31 (full-time), with a possibility of extension.

About the role

We're looking for a skilled Infrastructure / Platform / Cloud Native contractor to join the Infra PA in Core Infra studio through the end of the year. You will support the team in their Platform mission that is responsible for the Perimeter infrastructure, that owns several pieces of our core infrastructure, the main one being Envoy-based reverse-proxy that receives every external traffic. You will help maintain high standards of reliability, scalability, and automation across our systems.

What you'll do

You’ll join the Core Infrastructure group within the Infra Product Area, responsible for the cloud-native backbone powering the client's entire backend. The team provide services for container orchestration, observability, reliability, cloud resource and storage management, production networking, and service discovery at multi-million core scale.

The work is technical, impactful, and core to how all developers deliver features globally. The team you will join focuses on the Network part of it, owning the perimeter system and working on things like LoadBalancers, rate limiting and traffic protection, traffic insights.

Who you are

• 5+ years experience in Infrastructure or Platform Engineering roles
• Experienced backend developer with solid programming/scripting skills (Java, C++, Python, Bash)
• Comfortable with building and operating production infrastructure in a cloud-native environment (Google Cloud Platform preferred)
• Experience in Kubernetes and distributed system design at scale
• Automation and IaC experience (Terraform, Helm, CI/CD pipelines)
• Deep understanding of reliability engineering, performance tuning, and incident response
